Zephaniah Sees : A Mighty Warrior Shouts for Joy

During the time of King Josiah, Zephaniah was a Heaven Seer who warned the people of God’s coming judgment. He said, “Trouble is coming to filthy, red-stained Jerusalem, city of violence and crime. In her pride she won’t listen to anyone — not even to God. No one can tell her anything; she refuses all correction. She does not trust the Lord or look for Him.

“Ohh, but God is right there with her showing He is righteous. He does nothing unrighteous. Every morning He brings His justice to light. At dawn He appears no matter what. But still the unjust aren’t even ashamed.

“So God says, ‘I’m going to have to get rid of anyone who pridefully boasts — they won’t be able to stay on My Holy hill. No one in My City will ever be arrogant again.

‘But the humble and soft-hearted people are gonna get to stay in Zion — and they will be safe and sound right beside Me.

‘These Shining Survivors will not be sneaky phonies. They will never lie, and a tricky tongue won’t be found in their mouths.

‘Instead, like little sheep they will graze peacefully and lie down to rest in soft meadows; no one will scare them.’

“So shout for joy, Daughter Zion! Be happy and rejoice with all your heart, Daughter Jerusalem!

“The Lord has taken away the judgments against you and He has sent your enemies far away. Israel’s King, the Lord, is with you — He’s right here! You don’t need to fear anymore. Don’t be afraid, Zion!

‘Your God is right there with you. A Mighty Warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will quiet you with His love. He will delight over you with shouts of joy.’

“The Lord says, ‘I will deal with those who mistreated you. I will rescue the sheep who can’t walk and gather together the sheep who are scattered around. And when that time comes and I gather you together, then I Myself will be the One to lead you.

‘Be sure of this! I will make you known all over the earth, and the nations will admire and respect you when I make you prosperous once again.’”
