Isaiah Sees : The Champion Who Brings Freedom

Who is that coming toward us in great strength dressed in royal robes?

“I am the One who is able to bring freedom!” He answered.

Why are your clothes all red?

“I stained all My clothes. It was payback time. I looked for someone to help, but there was no one; I was shocked because there was no one offering support. So by My strength and power I took care of it and brought free, free, freedom.”

Then Isaiah started talking: “I’m going to tell of every good and wonderful thing God has ever done for us. He delivered them, but every time they hurt, He hurt, too.

“O God, if only You would rip open the sky and come down! The mountains tremble before You! Let Your enemies know who You are, and may the nations shake at Your presence! Oh, how You took us by surprise with all the miraculous things that You did. You came down, and the mountains trembled.

“Since the beginning times no one has heard or understood, no eye has seen any God besides You, You, who steps in and helps those who wait for Him. Oh, how can we be saved? We are so dirty. Even the ‘good’ things we try to do are dirty compared to You.

“Yet, Lord, You are our Father. We are the clay, and You are our potter; we are the work of Your hands.

“But, we are ruined right now. Don’t hold back. How can You not step in and help us?”

(Now remember, this is during the time when God was allowing His Family to be disciplined by the enemy nations around them. So now, they’re asking God for His help.)

After Isaiah finished crying out to God with this, God answered him: “What do you think I’ve been doing all this time?! I was right there ready to help those who never even bothered to ask Me. I let Myself be found by those who never even bothered to look for Me. I said, ‘I’m here! I’m right here!’ to a nation that ignored Me. I held out My hands all day long to My rebellious people, who lived in a terrible and unacceptable way, who resisted Me and insisted on doing things their own way. These people offend Me non-stop and resist Me to My face! They say, ‘Keep to yourself! Don’t get near me; I am holier than you!’ These people are like smoke up My nose, like a fire that keeps burning all day long.

“Look, it’s already decided: I will not keep silent, but will pay them back exactly what they deserve for their sins. But I will not punish everyone. I’ve got some special people. My chosen ones will take the land; My servants will live there.

“But as for you who abandon the Lord, you will reap trouble. I spoke and you didn’t listen. You did evil right in front of Me; you chose to do what displeased Me.”

So this is what the Sovereign Lord says about it: “Look, My servants will eat, but you who resisted Me will be hungry. My servants will drink, but you who resisted Me will be thirsty. My servants will rejoice, but you who resisted Me will be humiliated. My servants will shout for joy as happiness fills their hearts. but you who resisted Me will cry out as sadness fills your hearts.

“But eventually, past problems will be all forgotten; I will no longer even think about them. Because look, I am ready to create new heavens and a new earth! The past ones won’t even be remembered; nobody will even think about them anymore. So be happy and rejoice forever because of what I am about to create! I am ready to create My City to be a source of joy, and her people to be a source of happiness.”

(He’s saying, “I’m going to start over with only the good stuff. No one will even remember that bad stuff anymore. So no worries.”)

“My City will bring Me joy, and My People will bring Me happiness. The sound of weeping or crying will never be heard in My City again.

“Before My People even call out, I will answer them; while they are still speaking, I will hear. A wolf and a lamb will eat together in the field; a lion will eat straw, and a snake’s food will just be dirt. They won’t be predators any longer, because there will be no harming or destroying on My entire holy, royal mountain,” says the Lord.

And to that, I say, “Amen!” What about you?
